thepatientrose: Behold, as though we needed another reason to believe the faraj (relief) is near, this is CNN’s main page today. The page is dominated by the recent death of American entertainer Whitney Houston while the conflict in Syria, which by the way, I haven’t spoken about, at all, because I’m extremely suspicious of what the media is telling me, has been relegated to a smaller location on the page, just because it’s no longer the hot news. For those who might jump at me and say, but Whitney Houston is also a human being and her death matters— OF COURSE! It is because I respect human beings and I think death, when it happens, is a big deal and should give us pause, I am amazed at a society who cares more for an entertainer’s death than hundreds and thousands of deaths happening. I guess because they’re in the Middle East it matters less.  Not to mention, no news of the recent occupation of Aqsa by IDF troops. If you don’t think the faraj is imminent and are not doing all you can to prepare — please, wake up.  Please do not send me hate mail about how I don’t respect Whitney Houston and I’m diminishing the value of her death. I assure you I’m not - she is a human being and reflecting on death no matter who it affects is one of our tasks on Earth - but I just mean, put it into perspective, please.
