Dee. Muslimah. 23 years young.
Lebanese. New Yorker. Student. Aspiring health educator.
Made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions.
Follower of Prophet Muhammad & Ahlul Bayt (pbut).
I blog, I rant, I ramble, I vent, I express, I adore, I love. But I do not sugar coat.

I am also Pro-Palestinian & Anti-Zionism.
Anti-Zionism =/= Hating those who follow Judaism and/or are Israeli. Get it right. ;)

This page is made up of bits and pieces of who I am. I will voice my opinion, you are not obligated to agree or disagree, but if you want to be respected you have to give respect first. This blog has no particular tone or theme to it, it's composed of everything and anything. That's all for now :)

I do not claim ownership over any of the images I post. If you see your photo w|out proper credit & have proof that it is yours, let me know & I will gladly credit you.

*Note: This is NOT a blog about Islam, this is my own personal Tumblr. If you are interested in Islam check out my other blog linked below titled "The Beauty of Islam" :) Also, I do not follow back just because you have followed, but if you would like me to check out your blog just let me know.

Verily, with hardship there is relief."

All praises are due to Allah, only the mistakes are mine.

answering the questions on thebeautyofislam,

thalamtnafsee:

…sometimes really boil us to our core. we have some really amazing followers and highly inspirational people who continually show us much support, but then there are some questions i really dont understand how they are even presumed as questions.

diana and i are constantly talking about our progress towards bettering our thebeautyofislam blog, but sometimes we are stumped by some of the feedback we recieve (i guess thats part of life though, but seriously now).

not sure how many of you keep up with our posts on your dash, but we just recieved a question that really has diana and i ask ourselves: what dont some people understand in terms of our blogging? sometimes, we have to ask one another to answer some of the questions because the other cant answer without being overly frustrated. diana usually handles the compliments, feedback,  and questions regarding jurisprudential matters (which i find so hard to answer honestly) and ill answer the questions (like the most recent one) that people are in most need of in terms of the  in-depth explanations or emphasis of a spiritual side to the matter. and amani, of course, would reblog really inspirational pictures from various amounts of sources.

we’re always finding means to better not only the blog, but our intentions to continually blog whats right onto thebeautyofislam. diana and amani (and our newest member and my personal soon to be closest buddy editor and brother, amjad) are my source of inspiration and i love them so much because they always teach me what being a true civilized and humane muslim is all about. theyve been my constant support through thick and thin and without them i would be nothing close to who i am now. were always a team and always working together to figure out how we need to make things work; ill make them proud one day for instilling this virtue in my life.

point is, we have too many muslims cling onto their biases and prejudices and little who are willing to expand the intellect allah has blessed them with. its a struggle, it most definitely is, but im sure if we continue to implement the quran into our lives and renew our intentions every once in a while, well make it through this.
